We are considering candidates with strong qualifications for the role of Programmer/Analyst III to work on a team to: produce detailed program design; code; test; debug; document and implement software requests for enhancements or repairs to existing programs; and develop new systems or modules.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements of software modifications and determine the most effective solution
- Write software modules to support various online applications
- Participate in software testing and implementation
- Participate in solving issues reported by internal and external customers
- Develop quality code quickly and consistently to meet deadlines
Qualifications Sought:
- University or college graduate in computer science or equivalent
- Senior level programming skills in developing web solutions for enterprise applications
- Applicants will not be considered unless they can demonstrate strong and recent PHP and OO experience, and a willingness to learn other required languages
- Expertise with SQL and DB2 (or similar RDBMS)
- Proficient in many of the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax/Dojo, webscripting (IBM Net.Data, Perl, Python)
- Experience with a major framework, such as Zend Framework, would be a significant asset

- Proven ability to develop quality code within agreed timelines
Qualifications Considered an Asset:
- Experience with web security and/or OWASP
- Experience with development of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliant applications
- Experience with software versioning/source management systems
- Experience with Agile project methodologies
- Any experience with IBM “System i” ( free form RPGI, ILE concepts)
- Bilingual (English and French)
