Common Questions

What is the difference between a Reference Number and a User ID?

When you first create an account, you will be provided with a User ID, which starts with the letters “IT”, followed by seven numbers. You will also be given a password, which you will have the option of changing.

If you forget your User ID, you must start a new application.

If you forget your password, you can answer your “challenge question” in order to create a new password.

Once you have submitted your online application, you will receive a six-digit Reference Number that begins with the number “7″. If you are applying by paper, this Reference Number will be printed on your application package.
