Common Questions

Am I responsible for sending my secondary school midterm grades to the university?

No, not usually. In most cases your Ontario secondary school grades are sent directly from your school to the OUAC and to the universities you have selected. Sometimes, however, problems arise, in which case the university may contact you and ask you to provide secondary school marks. Be sure to provide them as quickly as possible.

If you are taking courses through night school or correspondence, ensure that your home day school is aware of this so that they can send grades for these courses as well. If your admission decision has been deferred by a university pending receipt of final grades, you are strongly advised to arrange for your final grades to be forwarded directly to the OUAC at the earliest available opportunity.

Grades from summer school courses are submitted by the summer school or the district school board. Verify with your summer school that either the summer school or the district school board will be sending the marks directly to the OUAC on your behalf. If this is not the case, you must arrange for original, official final grades to be sent to the OUAC and for photocopies of these grades to be sent to each of the universities to which you have applied. Indicate on the photocopies that the original was sent to the OUAC.
