Midwifery Education Program

The Midwifery program is jointly offered by Laurentian, McMaster and Ryerson universities; this program allows applicants the option of applying to the one university that best meets their learning needs.

The deadline to apply for fall 2011 entry is February 1, 2012.

Please choose one of the following institutions to obtain further information about the midwifery program:

Laurentian University:

  • Offers full-time study in either French or English
  • Students in the French stream must be bilingual
  • Located in the city of Sudbury

McMaster University:

  • Offers full-time study in English
  • Located in the city of Hamilton

Ryerson University:

  • Offers full-time study in English
  • Offers flexible part-time study in English, which can be completed in a minimum of four years/maximum of seven years
  • Located in the city of Toronto

We encourage all applicants to visit each university’s website for a more detailed description of the program, admission criteria and selection procedures.

Each applicant must apply to the OUAC using the 105 application (current Ontario secondary school students must use the OUAC 101 application available through their school’s guidance office). In addition, applicants must complete a separate Midwidery application through the university they apply to. For McMaster applicants, this application is available online only. Applicants may also be required to submit supplementary materials directly to the university.
