Tutorial #4: How to Submit and Pay for your Application (Transcript – Text Only)

Hello. Welcome to the “Ontario Universities’ Application Centre” or OUAC. This video tutorial #4 will walk you through the final steps of completing and paying for your online application.

For this demonstration, we will be submitting an undergrad 101 application for current Ontario high school students.

Once you have selected your program choices and entered your application information, you are ready to review and submit.

Reminder, if you are completing your application at school, but want your parents to see it before you submit, simply log out, and then log back in later at home – your information will be saved. Your application will not be processed until you pay for it.

There are three steps to the submit process.

Step 1: Review the warnings and correct any errors by returning to the appropriate section of your application.

Step 2: Review that the application information you entered is correct. If it’s not, return to the appropriate section of your application to fix it.

Step 3: Read the Applicant’s Declaration.

When these three steps are complete, select “I Verify and Agree” to proceed to the payment screen.

Note: That once you select a method of payment, the OUAC must receive full payment before you can make any changes to your application.

Payment is accepted by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) or by online banking. All payments must be made in Canadian funds. If you choose to make a credit card payment, a receipt will be emailed to you immediately after your payment is processed.

If you do not pay by credit card, your payment must be received within two weeks of submitting your application. If payment is received after two weeks, the date on which your payment is received will be considered the date your application is received.

Choose your “Payment Option” and hit “Continue” to fully submit your application. You will immediately receive an OUAC Reference Number. Print this page for your records. You must include this OUAC Reference Number on all communication with the OUAC or the universities.

You will also immediately receive an acknowledgement email, which indicates you have successfully submitted your application.

One to three business day after your fees are processed, we recommend that you log in to your application to review your submissions. Once you have logged in, you will be able to add and delete program selections, change your application information (with the exception of your grades information) and you can also respond to university offers of admission. Remember, if you pay by online banking, you will not have access to your application until payment reaches the OUAC and is processed – it will take longer than if you pay online by credit card.
