About Saint Paul University
Located in the heart of the nation’s capital, Saint Paul University (est. 1848) is the founding college of the University of Ottawa. A bilingual institution with a population of approximately 1,200 students, we offer undergraduate and graduate study programs.
We are known for our small class sizes, residence, personalized service, diverse student population, international vision, solid reputation, rich history and Catholic intellectual tradition.
Entry Points
- Fall (September) for all undergraduate programs.

Admission Scholarships
Our admission scholarship program automatically provides between $500 and $3,000 to all eligible full-time students with an average of 80% or more who are studying in any of our Honours Bachelor’s programs. We award this non-renewable scholarship at the time of admission.
We award this scholarship automatically to all qualified students. An application is not required for this scholarship; we assess all eligible applicants and notify recipients.
Language of Instruction
If you wish to apply to programs where the language of instruction is French, you must refer to the French section of the 101 application and use the appropriate program codes.
Second-language Proficiency
Proficiency in French does not affect admission. With the exception of language courses, you may write your work and answer exam questions in the official language of your choice. Second-language courses are optional.
