Ontario’s Universities Want To Hear From You!
November 29, 2016
Ontario’s universities have launched a conversation about how we can work together to unlock the full potential of Ontario’s future.
The Council of Ontario Universities (COU) kicked off the #futuring conversation on September 23 at the Ontario Universities’ Fair (OUF) – an annual event that saw more than 130,000 parents and students in attendance this year. Attending the fair was a great way to gauge how people are feeling about the future, and parents and students shared their thoughts in person and online via a survey and social media.
Since the launch of the conversation, there has been continued interest from the general public. Almost 2,000 people have shared their thoughts through the survey, with many more engaging on social media and in conversations with universities around the province.
What are your hopes and concerns about the future? And how can universities be good partners in helping to ensure everyone thrives in this fast-changing world?
“Universities also want to hear from the broader community – business, governments, health and social service agencies, the arts and culture community, researchers, and so on. There will be one-on-one meetings and roundtables as universities tap Ontario for ideas on how to make the future brighter for everyone” says COU President, David Lindsay.
