Frequently Asked Questions: The OUAC and COVID-19
Note: We will continue to update these FAQs as information becomes available. Check back for the most up-to-date information.
The OUAC continues to operate, but our building is closed to the public until further notice. We will continue to process applications with staff working remotely.
OLSAS, OMSAS and ORPAS Transcripts
For transcripts from Ontario universities/colleges, the process has not changed. You must request your transcript using the Transcript Request feature in your application. Your transcript will be sent electronically.
Due to COVID-19, many non-Ontario or international institutions cannot produce a hard-copy transcript to be mailed to us. Therefore, we are accepting PDFs via email, as long as they are emailed to us directly from the registrar’s office or their service provider. Transcripts sent to us from applicants or other third parties will not be accepted.
Transcripts should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Most registrar’s offices are aware of the process for emailing transcripts to us, so check with them directly.
Transcripts should be password-protected, but there should not be any expiry dates, or else this could cause difficulty for the universities. Do not send duplicate emails, as this could slow down the processing of your transcript.
Ontario University Updates
The OUAC and Ontario universities continue to monitor developments in Canada and globally with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Updates for 101 Applicants
The Ontario universities recognize that students are going through an unusual school year. Considering the different school scheduling models being implemented this year, the universities will work to be as responsive and flexible as possible with respect to admission processes.
Most universities will make conditional offers of admission on a rolling basis using a combination of Grade 11 and available Grade 12 marks. This type of assessment depends on students being registered in all required Grade 12 courses.
Continue to monitor the OUAC and university websites for updates.
