About the Program
McMaster University and Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) jointly offer the Midwifery Education Program.
You may apply to 1 or both of the Ontario Midwifery Education programs. Admission criteria and processes vary at each university. We encourage all applicants to visit each university’s website for a more detailed description of the program, admission criteria and selection process.
McMaster University (Hamilton):
- Full-time study
- Application deadline for fall 2026 admission: January 15, 2026
Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) (Toronto):
- Full-time study
- Flexible part-time study, which can be completed in a minimum of 4 years or maximum of 7 years
- Application deadline for fall 2026 admission: February 1, 2026
How to Apply
- McMaster: Use the Undergraduate application to apply to the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster.
- TMU: Use the Undergraduate application to apply to the Midwifery Education Program at TMU only if you are applying to TMU for Midwifery and another TMU degree program, or a program at another university. Otherwise, contact TMU directly for more information.
- Submit all supplementary documents and materials directly to the university.
