All fees are non-refundable. Your application will not be forwarded to your university choice(s) until you submit full payment to the OUAC.

Partial payments will not be accepted. Fees for withdrawn university choices are not refunded.


OMSAS Application Service Fee: $220
All applicants are required to pay a base fee of $220.

University Fee (In Canadian Funds)
Each medical school charges a university fee.

OMSAS collects the university fees and remits them to the universities to cover a portion of the costs associated with the admissions assessment. This fee is payable to the OUAC.

Fee Deadlines

Applicants paying by credit card must submit their payment at the same time as they submit their application.

All online banking payments and Western Union Business Solutions – GlobalPay for Students (bank‑to‑bank transfer for international payments only) payments must be initiated by October 1, 2016.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your payment is successful. Your application will not be processed if the medical schools determine that your payment is not received in a timely manner.

Fee Payment

Payment is part of the final “Submit” process and is accepted by the following methods:

  • Credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express). Prepaid credit cards and VISA debit cards are not accepted.
  • Online banking through selected Canadian banks and credit unions only (this normally takes 2-5 business days). All payments must be made in Canadian funds.
  • Western Union Business Solutions – GlobalPay for Students (bank-to-bank transfer for international payments only). You can pay the Canadian dollar fees in the currency of your choice.

Fraudulent use of credit cards or demanding/obtaining unauthorized application fee reimbursement is considered unethical.
