When You Should Expect University Communication

  • The universities will acknowledge that they received your application and provide you with a list of the specific supporting documents they require to make an admission decision.
  • If you do not receive any communication from your selected universities after 2 to 3 weeks, contact them directly. Include your OUAC Reference Number in all communication with the universities and on all supporting documents sent to the universities.

Make Edits to your Application or Respond to an Offer

  • Log in to your application to:
    • edit your information.
    • order transcripts and review the status of transcripts you previously requested as part of your application.
    • add and withdraw program choices.
  • Many university programs reach capacity quickly. Note: The later you change your program choices, the more likely it is that a program is closed and no longer accepting new applicants.
  • You will receive a confirmation number by email when you successfully submit your application changes and/or respond to an offer of admission.
  • If you are a current Ontario high school student, you can expect to receive either an offer of admission or a refusal from the universities you applied to by the end of May. The earliest date you may be required to respond to an offer is June 1, 2024.
  • If you are not a current Ontario high school student, you must respond to offers of admission by the deadline the university included in the offer details. Refer to the university information pages for more information.
