These are important dates in your application process. Check them carefully and keep them in mind as you apply.
August 2022
The OUAC launches Ontario Universities’ Info (OUInfo) with updated information for fall 2023 admission.
Visit OUInfo to find university events and tours, webinars, chats, videos and more. You can also request to receive information directly from Ontario universities.
September 2022
The OUAC publishes 101 application materials for Ontario high schools and school boards.
September to December 2022
Ontario’s universities are excited to host a collection of in-person and virtual events in fall 2022.
These events are all free and anyone may attend.
Ontario Universities’ Regional Fairs
The Regional Fairs travel across the province, offering fair-style events that allow you to gather information about Ontario’s universities. Learn about programs, campus life and anything else that may help you decide which Ontario university to choose.
Ontario Universities’ Fair (OUF)
October 1-2, 2022
The Ontario Universities’ Fair is an in-person, fair-style event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Visit booths from Ontario universities, gather information and chat with representatives one on one.
Ontario Universities’ Information Sessions
October 11, November 9 and December 1, 2022
Join us for any (or all!) of our Information Sessions. Each virtual event is divided into 6 timeslots, where students can learn about the universities of their choice and ask questions.
November 25, 2022
Target date for Ontario universities to receive all midterm/final grades available for 4U/M courses from the OUAC.
By the end of November 2022
You will receive your application access codes with your school number, student number and temporary PIN. You will need this information to apply.
January 12, 2023
Deadline for Ontario high school students to submit their completed applications to the OUAC.
Note: The OUAC will continue to process applications received after this date and distribute them to the Ontario universities; however, specific university deadlines will apply.
The initial application includes all final grades from completed Grade 11 and 12 courses and a list of all current-year courses in progress.
January 19, 2023
Target date for Ontario universities to receive all application data and grades from the OUAC for applications submitted by January 12, 2023.
February 23, 2023
Target date for Ontario universities to receive all final grades available for 4U/M courses and current full-year grades for 4U/M courses from the OUAC.
May 4, 2023
Target date for Ontario universities to receive all midterm/final grades available for 4U/M courses and interim grades for full-year courses from the OUAC. The OUAC will send grades received earlier than the deadline to Ontario universities when they are received.
May 29, 2023
The latest date all high school applicants who submitted their application by the January application deadline can expect a response from an Ontario university. This includes an offer of admission, a refusal or a deferral, once additional information is received.
June 1, 2023
The earliest date an Ontario high school student may be required to respond to an Ontario university offer of admission and give a financial commitment (e.g., registration deposit, residence deposit, etc.).
All other admission-related elements, including scholarships, other forms of student assistance or financial incentives, and offers of residence, are considered part of the offer of admission. Therefore, a student may accept these other offers before June 1, 2023, but Ontario universities will not compel a student in any way to make a decision earlier than this date.
June 5, 2023
The date the Admission Information Service (AIS) opens. The AIS allows you to determine which Ontario universities still have spots available in first-year undergraduate programs.
July 13, 2023
Target date for the OUAC to send all remaining final grades to the Ontario universities. The OUAC will attempt to contact all schools that have not provided their grades.
August 1 to 31, 2023
The OUAC collects summer school grades from Ontario high schools and school boards.
