Video Transcript: How to Respond to an Offer of Admission

The Ontario Universities’ Application Centre presents: How to Respond to an Offer of Admission from an Ontario University

Welcome to the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre website (www.ouac.on.ca).

This video will show you how to view your active Ontario university offers and how to accept or decline offers.

To view your active offers, log back in to your OUAC account.

On the Hub, you will see an Offers button that shows all the active offers you have received.

Click “View Offers” to go directly to the My Offers section in your application.

Your offers or alternate offers will be displayed. Select the eye icon to view and respond to the offer of your choice.

You can find the details of your offer under Offer Information.

Under Offer Response, you can click the button to accept the offer or to decline it (if that option is available).

At this point, if you have further edits to make to your application, select “I want to make more changes” to return to the My Offers page.

Remember, you will need to go to Review and Payment later to completely submit your offer response.

As another reminder, when you return to the My Offers page, you will see your response status listed as “Offer – Incomplete acceptance. Submit through Review and Payment”.

If you close your application at this point without submitting your update, your offer response will not be sent to the universities.

You must complete the Review and Payment steps to fully submit your acceptance.

Alternatively, after you respond to your offer, if you have no further changes, you can select “I’m ready to submit my response/changes” to go to through the Review and Payment steps immediately.

You will see your response in the Review Summary. Review your response and any other updates you made. Continue to the Declaration to confirm your application information is accurate.

Scroll to the bottom and select “I Verify and Agree” to submit your response to the university.

Reminder: If you made any changes to your application that require payment, you must pay by credit or debit card.

Once you submit your response (and pay any necessary application fees), you will receive a confirmation number and a summary of changes by email.

If you do not receive this email, your response was not submitted – please try again.

We recommend that you log back in to your account the next day to ensure that your responses were saved in your application.

Now you have successfully responded to an Ontario university offer of admission.
