I’m not a current Ontario high school student. How can I send my high school transcripts to my university choices?

Certain Ontario high schools allow you to request your official high school transcript electronically (completed courses only) through OCAS. You can do this in the Undergraduate Application, in the Transcripts section, under “Transcripts from Ontario High Schools” and “Check if my high school participates”. If your high school is not included in this online service, contact them to arrange for them to send your official transcript directly to your university choices. Ask your high school to indicate your OUAC Reference Number on your transcript. The OUAC does not accept hard-copy transcripts, nor do we forward them to your university selections. Note: If you are a current Ontario high school student, your high school will provide your grades to the OUAC; you do not need to request your transcript.

I’m a current Ontario high school student. I transferred to a different school after first semester (or halfway through the school year). Who informs the OUAC and the universities about this change?

If you apply for admission while at one school and then transfer to a different school, your new school must advise the OUAC of this change. Your new school will provide the OUAC with their name and school number (MIDENT), your new Secondary School Student Number (SSSN), if applicable, and your Ontario Education Number (OEN). The OUAC will then notify your university choices of this transfer. Remember to update your application if your mailing address has also changed…

I’m attending high school outside of Ontario. In the Activities and Employment section of the application, it says to list my extracurricular activities from the time I completed high school to the present, but it also says if I don’t complete this section, my application assessment may be delayed. What do I do since I’m still in high school?

In this situation, it is fine to leave the Activities and Employment section blank. You will get a warning message about this during the Review and Payment step, but you can ignore it; the universities require this information only from applicants who are not currently attending high school.

If I accept an offer now, can I change my mind at a later date?

Yes. If you accept an offer but later wish to accept a different offer, you will need to first cancel your accepted offer and then accept the new offer by the stipulated deadline date. Be sure to consider all other factors such as scholarships, residence acceptance and deposits before you make your final decision…
